According to statistics, the top three countries in the trade of food additives in Xinjiang last year were the United States, the Netherlands, and Brazil. The value of food additives exported to the United States alone reached 13.448 million US dollars, accounting for 27.51% of the total export value of all food additives.

According to Di Libaier Sabiti, Director of the Chemicals Division of Xinjiang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the reasons for the sharp increase in export food additives in Xinjiang are as follows: First, Xinjiang has high-quality and low-cost coal resources and high corn production, in order to reduce Production costs, domestic large-scale food additive manufacturers have successively established factories in Xinjiang, achieving a breakthrough in the export of Xinjiang amino acid, xanthan gum, and taste nucleotide disodium; the second is the proportion of high value-added products exported by our region.
